Guwahati: Residents across several localities in Guwahati will face a temporary water supply disruption on January 17 and 18 due to ongoing leakage rectification work on the clear water pumping main pipeline at Joypur. According to an official notification, the affected areas fall under Amiya Nagar, Lichubagan, and Ramsahill Reservoirs, covering Amiya Nagar, Chandmari, Rajgarh, Lachit Nagar, Ulubari, Rupnagar, Bora Service, Greater Zoo Road, Anil Nagar, Nabin Nagar, Tarun Nagar, Shreenagar, Bhaskar Nagar, MT Road, Geetanagar, Ambikagiri Nagar, Sundarpur, Manik Nagar, Hengrabari, Swaraj Nagar, Dr. Zakir Hussain Road, Down Town, Bormotoria, Ramsahill, Latashil, Silpukhuri, Panbazar, Kharghuli, and adjoining areas. Authorities have urged residents to store adequate water in advance and assured them that efforts are being made to complete the repair work at the earliest. "We sincerely regret the inconvenience caused and appreciate the cooperation of the residents," the notification stated. For further updates, residents can contact the local water supply authorities.
