GUWAHATI: Bharath Virtual University, Bangaluru conferred an Honorary Doctorate Award (Honoris Causa) upon Assam Minority Board Development Chairperson and senior BJP leader Muminul Aowal at the fifth convocation of the University at Bangaluru on Saturday.
According to Aowal, the University conferred him the degree for his political contribution for political, social and economic development of Goriya, Moriya, Desi and Jalah of Tea Tribes in Assam. He said the award would help him with more enthusiasm for the development of these communities in the days ahead.
