GUWAHATI: 'Pen Down', a book written by Taposhree Baruah, was released on Sunday at the Gauhati Press Club, stated a press release.
National Award-winning film critic and film director Utpal Datta anchored the book launch programme, where Proyashi Baruah, the author of 'The Mystic Sinners', released the book. She said, "the book 'Pen Down' is a such a book that readers of all ages will be able to relate their lives to what is penned down in the book." She added, "the thought-provoking writing will have a strong impact on the overall thinking of its readers in the most beautiful way." The chief guest of the event, Abu Sufian, IPS, congratulated Taposhree Baruah and extended his best wishes for her new journey as an author.
Poet Bishaldeep Kakati explained the inseparable relationship between the readers and authors and congratulated Taposhree Baruah for having authored a different kind of book with reader-friendly language and style. In her speech, Taposhree Baruah narrated the birth of the book and her vision as a writer. She said, "Pen Down is the reflection of her realization about a range of human emotions and conflicts.
