NGO “RAISED” distributes food items to 6,000 families during lockdown in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: A leading NGO (Non-Government Organization) of Assam named “RAISED” has been organizing several distribution camps of essential commodities during the lockdown period among the needy persons, for the last one week. Under the guidance of Phanindra Nath Sarma, the chairman, all the volunteers of the NGO visited remote parts and outskirts of the city and distributed bags of Rice Dal, Mustered oil, Salt and Potato to the needy people. The NGO organized the help camp in all the wards of Dispur constituency, Ramsing Sapori, Chapaidang, Beerkuchu, Narakasur Hills and Gitanagar hills of East Guwahati, Slum area of Ambari, Dharapur, Rani, etc under West Guwahati. Till date, the NGO has covered more than six thousand families. The teams were led by its General Secretary Jayanta Deka, Vice President Dr. Pranjal Bharali, Treasurer Rajesh Agarwal, Jagadish Dutta and all others member.
