GUWAHATI: Lieutenant Commander Debanand Doley, Officiating Commanding Officer of the 48 Assam Naval Unit NCC, had a meeting with the Governor of Assam and provided an overview of the various activities conducted by the naval wing NCC in Assam. The meeting also included a briefing on the upcoming 10-day-long Sailing Expedition on the Brahmaputra, scheduled to take place in the first week of November.
The Officer highlighted the significant initiatives undertaken by the 48 Assam Naval Unit NCC. These initiatives include numerous drills, training sessions, camps, and community service projects that have been successfully organized by the unit over the years. The Governor, being an ex-NCC cadet himself, exhibited great interest in the activities of the naval wing of the NCC and commended the unit for its remarkable work in shaping young minds towards nation-building., stated a press release.
