Street Plays on Child Rights Organized in Guwahati to Raise Awareness

The District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) of Kamrup Metro organized street plays in various locations across the city in Fatasil Ambari, Hatigaon, Ulubari, and Noonmati.

Guwahati: The District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) of Kamrup Metro organized street plays in various locations across the city in Fatasil Ambari, Hatigaon, Ulubari, and Noonmati. The main aim of the awareness campaign is to sensitize the community on issues affecting children, such as child labour, child marriage, child trafficking, illegal adoption, and POCSO cases.

Addressing the crowd, the DCPO Kamrup Metro, Kasturi Das, emphasized the importance of protecting children's rights and ensuring their safety. The street plays were well received by the community, and the event was seen as a significant step towards creating awareness on child rights and protection.

The District Child Protection Unit, Kamrup Metro, and S.C.P.S. Assam are working towards creating a secure environment for children, promoting their well-being, stated a press release
