Students’ Federation of India (SFI) calls off hunger strike on 6th day

Various educationists and intellectuals formed a united stage on the occasion, and emphasized on forming a committee to intensify the movement in future.

GUWAHATI: The Students’ Federation of India (SFI) in its hunger strike demanded the resignation of SEBA Chairman, SEBA Secretary and Education Minister, and a high level inquiry under a committee headed by Rtd Justice. They also call for the suspension of the Officer-in-Charge of Dhalpur Police Station for attacking students who had come out for protesting against the question paper leakage.

SFI started this strike on March 20, and today is the 6th day of the strike. However, the strike has been called off today on the appeal of the individuals present there. Various educationists and intellectuals formed a united stage on the occasion, and emphasized on forming a committee to intensify the movement in future.
