GUWAHATI: A woman pick-pocket named Sahida Begum (30), a resident of Maligaon Shuttle Gate under the Jalukbari Police Station, was arrested on Thursday in connection with a case registered in the Panbazar Police Station (No 691/2021 u/s 379/420 IPC) in connection with the theft of a purse containing ATM cards and cash.
Police sources said that following the theft of the purse Sahida Begum withdrew cash through the stolen ATM card with her associate, one Zakir Ali, as the ATM pin code was reportedly written on the ATM cover.
