Bunty Aur Babli 2 is a romantic comedy film directed by Varun V Sharma starring Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji along with Siddhant Chaturvedi and newcomer Sharvari in the main roles. Other important casts of the movie include Neeraj Sood, Ashrani, Yashpal Sharma, Lankesh Bhardwaj, Prem Chopra and Gopal Dutt in lead roles.

The film has now been released in theatres on Friday 19 November and will be available for streaming on the OTT platform of Amazon Prime Video on 18 December 2021. Earlier the movie was scheduled to release several times on different dates in April and June 2020 but postponed due to the rise of the COVID pandemic.

Bunty Aur Babli 2 is the second part of the earlier blockbuster film Bunty Aur Babli in 2005 starring Rani Mukerji and Abhishek Bachchan. The Bunty who was Abhishek Bachchan has been replaced in the new franchise but Babli remains the same as Rani Mukerjee comes with extra energy in Bunty Aur Babli 2.

The movie shows intense face-off between Saif and Rani, Saif Ali Khan playing the role of Rakesh Trivedi and Rani Mukerjee playing the role of Vimmi Trivedi, the two robbers leading for ordinary life. Siddhant Chaturvedi as Kunal and Sharvari as Sonia appears as the new pair following the same process of earning money by looting people as frauds and starting robberies in North India. Pankaj Tripathi, the police officer in the film place a major role in catching the thief.

Rani in the film tried hard to bring back her charm dressing in unique outfits and garish makeup while Khan also tried his best in matching with the original Bunty Abhishek Bachchan. At the beginning of the film, the concept was much interesting but director Varun V Sharma seems to have run out of ideas toward the execution of the 138 minutes film.
