Emily in Paris will conclude with its upcoming sixth season, series creator Darren Star confirmed. Filming for the final season is currently underway in Greece.
Calling the experience “the trip of a lifetime,” Star thanked Netflix, Paramount, the cast, crew, and fans for supporting the show since its debut. He said the team is excited to share the final chapter of Emily’s journey and celebrated the series’ impact on audiences who connected with its themes of travel, romance, and life in Paris.
Lily Collins, who plays Emily Cooper, also shared a farewell message with fans. In a video, she promised that Season 6 would include everything viewers love about the series while delivering an emotional conclusion to Emily’s story. Collins said the cast and crew are “pouring their hearts” into creating a memorable final season.
The Netflix hit follows Emily, a Chicago-based marketing executive who moves to Paris for work and navigates friendships, romance, and cultural challenges in Europe. The show’s ensemble cast includes Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Ashley Park, Lucas Bravo, Lucien Laviscount, and others.
Produced by Netflix, Paramount Television Studios, and Jax Media, the series has been one of Netflix’s successful romantic comedies across its five seasons. It is also the second Netflix show recently announced to be ending, following The Lincoln Lawyer. (ANI)
