NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is giving a final opportunity for affiliated schools to create websites and upload the details of their teachers, including qualifications, required information, and supporting documents.

The board stated that this is part of the mandatory public disclosure. The Central Board issued a circular on March 5, 2021, and sent a reminder on May 21, 2021, urging compliance with the provisions.

CBSE stated that despite multiple directives, many affiliated schools still lack functional websites. Some schools have websites, but they have either failed to upload or only partially uploaded the required information and documents for mandatory public disclosure.

In a recent circular, CBSE stated, "In some cases, it is observed that schools have uploaded the desired information/documents, but the links to these documents are inactive. A few schools have uploaded the prescribed information/documents, but the icon/link is not prominently displayed on the Main Home page."

CBSE is now offering schools that have not yet complied with the instructions a final chance to complete the process. They have been instructed to review the circulars and upload all the prescribed information and documents in a clear and complete manner within 30 days. Failure to comply will lead to the board initiating appropriate proceedings and imposing penalties in accordance with the rules.

CBSE said, "Those schools who have apparently complied with the given directions are also instructed to revisit their website and verify the uploaded information & documents in accordance with the directions provided in the cited circulars. In case of any disparity, the same may be updated immediately."
