WASHINGTON D.C: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Washington D.C. today, for a two-day visit, where he is set to meet key US leaders, including President Donald Trump, tech mogul Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, a close aide of President Trump.

PM Modi reached Washington D.C. on Wednesday night and is staying at the Blair House, the official guest residence for visiting dignitaries. His visit aims to strengthen India-US ties through discussions on trade, defense, and technology.

His meeting with Elon Musk is scheduled before his official talks with President Trump at the White House. The two have met before, with Modi touring Tesla’s San Jose facility in 2015.

The Indian Prime Minister’s visit comes at a time when the US is facing trade tensions, mass deportations of illegal immigrants, and diplomatic challenges related to the Gaza conflict.

His talks with Trump are expected to cover trade deals, energy cooperation, and defense procurement, including liquefied natural gas and combat vehicles. Both sides are also exploring investment opportunities in nuclear energy and tariff reductions in sectors like electronics and medical equipment.

Modi’s meeting with Trump is scheduled to take place in the afternoon, followed by a joint press conference. Later, the US President will host a dinner in his honor. The discussions will also focus on strengthening intelligence cooperation in counter-terrorism and cybersecurity.

Additionally, Modi met Tulsi Gabbard, who was recently appointed as the US Director of National Intelligence. They discussed various aspects of India-US relations. He will also meet Indian-American entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy during his visit.
