Guwahati: The Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry has opened the JIPMER MBBS notification 2019 from today starting off the registration process for the undergraduate medical programme. The official notification has been released in its official website jipmer.edu.in.
The interested candidates can start the filling up of application process online in the official website and the registration process will end on April 12, 2019.
This year the entrance test of MBBS conducted by JIPMER will be held online in two shifts on June 2, Sunday. An official of JIPMER said that they expected as many as 2 lakh candidates to register for the online examination. The official informed that last year the number of candidates registered for MBBS was 1,97,745.
JIPMER is a national level entrance examination to get admitted in the UG level of medical course. Through this exam candidates could get admission in MBBS course of the university and its affiliated campuses. The admission will be offered by the JIPMER Karaikal and Puducherry campuses.
JIPMER is the only national level entrance test held in the country for admission to an undergraduate medical programme other than the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) MBBS and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG exam.
