North 24 Parganas: Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Thursday alleged that West Bengal has become a “nursery” for Bangladeshi infiltrators.
Stepping up his attacks on the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Singh further alleged that the state government initially laid a red carpet for Bangladeshis and then Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Abhishek Banerjee did politics in the name of Bangladesh.
Speaking to ANI, Giriraj Singh said, “It’s laughable - that govt of West Bengal firstly have a red carpet for Bangladeshis and then Abhishek Banerjee do politics in the name of Bangladesh... Mamata Banerjee should apologize from the state and the whole country. The way they spread red carpet for Bangladeshis and then she said nobody can remove Bangladeshis till she is there. West Bengal has become a nursery for Bangladeshi infiltrators...”
Meanwhile, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee alleged that the Border Security Force (BSF) were facilitating militants and infiltrators from Bangladesh to enter the state and further stated that because of this there were disruptions in the region.
While addressing the State Administrative Review Meeting at the Nabanna Sabhaghar in Kolkata the Bengal CM stated that if the BSF continues to facilitate such activities, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) would protest against them. (ANI)
