Meerut: 25 year old Danish had gone to an ATM in Meerut to withdraw money on April 13 but little did he know that it was going to be his last.
In a shocking incident, Danish had gone to an India One ATM machine which is located near Lisadi Gate area of Meerut to withdraw money. Tragedy struck when he suddenly had to endure a high voltage current while withdrawing cash from the ATM machine. He died in agony as a result of the electrocution.
The locals, who were astonished to see the young man in great suffering in the ATM chamber, could barely pull him out of the chamber. He was immediately rushed to the hospital but the doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
This unfortunate incident did not go down well with the locals and they voiced their anger and created a ruckus. The area where the incident took place witnessed an unrest with the locals calling for strict action to be taken against the ATM company and also demanding for a compensation to the family of the deceased.
The locals have informed that Danish used to do sewing work at home and added he hailed from a poor family. They have also said that no Tahrir has been given to the police so far regarding the negligence of the ATM company.
Meanwhile, the police have sent the body for post-mortem. Police officials have said that if the victim's family members file a complaint, then further action will be taken and a case will be registered.
