ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu today inaugurated the state-of-the-art facilities at the Police Training Centre at Banderdewa which has paved a significant way towards elevating the welfare and readiness of the state's police personnel.
The newly inaugurated infrastructure boasts of Integrated Sports Complex, a 300-Men Barrack, and a Volleyball Turf Court. Commenting on X, CM Khandu said he was confident that these facilities would greatly enhance the training environment and general well-being of the police force, enabling them to serve the state better.
"Such initiatives reaffirm our commitment to strengthening the preparedness and welfare of our law enforcement personnel," he said.
During his visit, the chief minister also attended the Dikshant Parade of the 49th Batch of Recruit Constables Basic Training Course. The parade had seen 885 recruits, comprising 110 women constables, undergoing a grueling nine months of training. The parade is the largest in the history of the Arunachal Pradesh Police and is one of the biggest passing-out parades in the country for the state's law enforcers.
Praising the newly inducted constables, Chief Minister Khandu termed them as the future custodians of law and order who will be entrusted with the duty of safeguarding the citizenry with integrity. He further spoke of their role in contributing to the vision of a "Viksit Arunachal Pradesh."
The initiative goes on to reveal the importance that the government places on modernizing the police force with needed infrastructure and trained personnel for an efficient law enforcement system for the state.
