ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu announced that the state has made tremendous progress in the education sector. Elementary education has achieved a 100% Adjusted Net Enrolment Rate, and the secondary school dropout rate has reduced to 11.7%.
He went on social media to credit the achievements to "Team Arunachal," noting that these reforms align with NEP 2020 and the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for education. "Our concerted efforts have yielded remarkable outcomes," Khandu wrote on X, adding that the state is focused on inclusive and quality education.
He mentioned several initiatives that drive these reforms forward: innovative programs such as 'Building as Learning Aid' and the opening of Eklavya Model Residential Schools. These steps look to adopt modern educational facilities across the state with equal opportunities for all children.
Khandu further stated that these interventions reflect Arunachal Pradesh’s commitment to achieving Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4, which focuses on inclusive and equitable quality education. The 2024 SDG scoreboard recognizes the state’s strides in meeting global education targets.
“In sync with the grand vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, as brilliantly captured in the new National Education Policy-2020, Team Arunachal is giving a big push to the state’s educational landscape through a set of well-crafted interventions and enabling measures,” Khandu added in his post.
The Chief Minister again reiterated that these achievements mark a significant step forward in the formation of the future of education in Arunachal Pradesh, making modern learning opportunities accessible to all.
