Arunachal CM Pema Khandu Lays Foundation Stone For New Engineering Office In Bene Aalo

The project will prioritize streamlining administrative procedures, upgrading utilities, and strengthening overall infrastructure, with the goal of benefiting the people of Central Arunachal Pradesh.

ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu laid the foundation stone for the Chief Engineering Office (Central Zone) of the Public Health Engineering and Water Supply (PHE & WS) in Bene Aalo on Monday.

The project is designed to improve water supply systems and public health infrastructure in the region. It will prioritize streamlining administrative procedures, upgrading utilities, and strengthening overall infrastructure, with the goal of benefiting the people of Central Arunachal Pradesh.

Meanwhile, earlier this month, Arunachal CM Pema Khandu inaugurated the state-of-the-art facilities at the Police Training Centre at Banderdewa on December 21, which had paved a significant way towards elevating the welfare and readiness of the state's police personnel.

The newly inaugurated infrastructure boasted of an Integrated Sports Complex, a 300-Men Barrack, and a Volleyball Turf Court. Commenting on X, CM Khandu said he was confident that these facilities would greatly enhance the training environment and general well-being of the police force, enabling them to serve the state better.

"Such initiatives reaffirm our commitment to strengthening the preparedness and welfare of our law enforcement personnel," he said.

Likewise, the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways authorized a budget of Rs. 398 crore for the construction of 19 State District Road projects in Arunachal Pradesh.

For the fiscal year 2024–2025, the funds were awarded under the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund (CRIF) with the goal of enhancing road connectivity, especially in the state's border and isolated areas.

The funds that were allotted will be utilised to improve the state's major road infrastructure, increasing mobility and promoting socio-economic growth. It was anticipated that the project would increase trade, open up new economic opportunities for local residents in the area, and improve access to essential services.
