ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Monday directed the submission of a detailed research report to his office based on the newly released book "Media representation and accessibility of the Puroiks", stating that its findings could guide meaningful policy interventions for one of the state's most marginalised communities.
Speaking at the launch event of the book at his office, Khandu emphasised that the book offers valuable ethnographic insight into the social, economic, and cultural struggles of the Puroik community, long neglected in both mainstream discourse and policy, an official statement said.
"The book sheds much-needed light on marginalised communities. Through its ethnographic depth, it vividly captures the lives of the Puroiks, one of the most under-represented indigenous groups of Arunachal Pradesh," the chief minister said.
