ITANAGAR: As part of initial awareness and mobilization to organize the Arunachal Literary Festival 2022, an elaborate meeting was held under the chairmanship of Arunachal Pradesh Literary Society (APLS) president YD Thongchi at the Deputy Commissioner's office at Namsai on Wednesday.
Thongchi exhorted all stakeholders to take part keenly in the ensuing festival to be held in the Namsai district from November 3 to 5 next.
He said that the effort needs to be made to organize the festival at Namsai in order to provide a platform for the budding writers, poets and novelist of the eastern zone and to give a fillip to start literary movement in the eastern region.
IPR Director Dasher Teshi said that the meeting has been initiated to create awareness and gear up the initial works so that all DIPROs, in-charge DIPROs, APLS district units, writers, poets, novelist from the various districts in the eastern region are teamed up for festival.
He stressed on team effort among all stakeholders to make the annual event successful.
Teshi said that the festival shall have bearings on local writers and boost their imagination to raise the standard of creativity among young writers. He also appealed to local members to take responsibility for success of the festival.
The meeting discussed in threadbare detail all issues to be worked out on formation of specific committees.
