Acting on inputs obtained during interrogation of two earlier accused, a joint police team from Arunachal Pradesh and Assam apprehended Aamir Ali (39), a resident of Banderdewa, Assam, during a raid conducted at Brahmaputra Nagar near the Dikrong riverbank in Assam on Monday.

The raid, carried out under the supervision of Naharlagun SP Mihin Gambo and SDPO Rishi Longdo, led to the seizure of 20 vials containing suspected heroin weighing approximately 27.9 grams, police said.

The operation was led by Naharlagun PS officer-in-charge Inspector Krishnendu Dev along with sub-inspectors Vivek Linggi and T Sarke and other personnel, with support from the Assam Police.
