Arunachal Pradesh achieves full household power, tap water coverage: Pema Khandu

Arunachal Pradesh has achieved 100 per cent household coverage in electricity and functional tap water connections, Chief Minister Pema Khandu said on Saturday.

ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh has achieved 100 per cent household coverage in electricity and functional tap water connections, Chief Minister Pema Khandu said on Saturday. In a post on X, Khandu said the number of electrified households increased from 1.48 lakh in 2016 to 3.02 lakh in 2026, raising coverage from 49 per cent to 100 per cent. He said functional household tap connections rose from 22,796 in 2016, covering 9.9 per cent of households, to 2,28,566 in 2026, achieving full coverage. Khandu said the progress over the past decade reflected the government’s efforts to ensure that basic services reached every household.
