Arunachal Pradesh: Massive Fire Destroys 15 Shops at Hayuliang Market in Anjaw district

A massive fire broke out early Thursday morning at Hayuliang market in Anjaw district of Arunachal Pradesh, completely gutting 15 shops, a senior police official said.

Itanagar: A massive fire broke out early Thursday morning at Hayuliang market in Anjaw district of Arunachal Pradesh, completely gutting 15 shops, a senior police official said. The blaze, which started around 4:30 AM, swiftly spread through the market, one of the oldest in the border district, reducing all the wooden-structured shops to ashes, Anjaw Superintendent of Police (SP) Rike Kamsi said.

He added that the Indian Army assisted local authorities in preventing the fire from spreading further.

Fortunately, no human casualties were reported, the SP said.
