Itanagar: The Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Science (TRIHMS) Faculty Association (TFA), joined by the Indian Medical Association-Arunachal Chapter (IMA-AP) and the Arunachal Pradesh Doctors Association (APDA), held a silent protest on Thursday to condemn the alleged attack on TRIHMS Director, Dr. Moji Jini.
The TFA demanded the immediate arrest and legal prosecution of the individual responsible for the attack. TFA President, Dr. Rinchin Dorjee Megeji, told reporters that violence against medical personnel is unacceptable, and the attack on Dr. Jini, a respected figure instrumental in establishing TRIHMS, is particularly reprehensible. The association also called for immediate amendments to the Arunachal Pradesh Protection of Medical Service Personnel and Institutions Act 2019.
