Arunachal showcases cultural heritage in grand event at Raj Bhavan

Arunachal Pradesh celebrated its rich cultural heritage with the inaugural edition of Sanskriti, Parampara aur Kala Tayohar, at Raj Bhavan, conceptualized by Governor K T Parnaik.

ITANAGAR: The inaugural edition of Arunachal Pradesh Sanskriti, Parampara aur Kala Tayohar, a cultural presentation conceptualised by Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen (Retd) K T Parnaik, was held at Raj Bhavan on Sunday to celebrate the state's rich heritage. Troupes representing various tribes, including Monpa, Adi, Puroik, Wancho, and Nyishi, participated in the event, showcasing Arunachal's vibrant traditions through music, dance, and folk performances.

Speaking on the occasion, the governor highlighted the state's immense cultural wealth and reaffirmed Raj Bhavan's commitment to supporting local artists and cultural groups through initiatives under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat program.

Parnaik was particularly impressed by the performances of the women participants, acknowledging their leadership and resilience across various fields. He praised their self-reliance and emphasized their role in driving sustainable development for their families and the state. Their dedication, he noted, is key to realizing the vision of Viksit Arunachal.

Organized by the state's Department of Art & Culture, the event was attended by special invitees, dignitaries, Raj Bhavan officers and staff, and their families, making it a memorable celebration of Arunachal Pradesh's rich heritage.
