ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh has initiated a revolutionary path to boost its tourism industry with the launch of a new logo and policy. The launch event was held at the Shangri-La Eros Hotel in New Delhi, presided by the state's Tourism Minister Pasang Dorjee Sona.

The rebranding effort is summed up in the slogan "Arunachal: Beyond Myths and Mountains," conveying the state's ambition to promote its various attractions above and beyond its universally acclaimed natural splendor. The new logo consists of a stylized representation of mountains in turquoise color, topped by an orange arc representing the rising sun, conveying Arunachal Pradesh as the "Land of the Dawn-lit Mountains."

The inauguration ceremony hosted key players in the tourism industry to deliberate on a strategic master plan for the development of tourism in this north-eastern state. Minister Sona underscored the vision of building up sustainable and culturally rich tourism experiences that will not just accrue benefit to local communities but also preserve the region's unique heritage.

The new policy seeks to establish Arunachal Pradesh as a top destination for tourists who want to experience the state's natural beauty as well as its rich culture. The state government has ambitious goals, with an aim to double the domestic tourist arrivals and boost international tourist arrivals by ten times, thus placing it on the world tourism map.
