Assistant Engineer (AE) examination deferral demand withdrawn

ITANAGAR: The All Arunachal Unemployed Civil Engineers' Association (AAUCEA) on Wednesday informed that its demand to postpone the ensuing Assistant Engineer (AE) examination of various engineering department-2022, which is scheduled for June 12, stands "cancelled".

AAUCEA president Lokam Kiochak informed mediapersons that the examination was postponed as the commission has increased the number of AE posts. He said that the decision came following a memorandum submitted to the chairman and secretary of the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) by the association.

However, he said that the association also demands for early fulfillment of its pending charter of demands on the cancellation of officiating functional junior engineers, assistant engineers, executive engineers appointed in all the engineering departments of the State, creating of chief engineer's post under the education and sports department, creation of AE posts for newly formed districts of the State and timely conduct of DPC.

He also informed that the association has submitted its charter of demands in the form of a representation to the State Government, but no positive response has been made by the State Government till date.
