Sarkar Aapke Dwar Camp at Tawang village held

ITANAGAR: Tawang MLA Tsering Tashi along with DC Sang Phuntsok and SP SS Kalsi along with heads of departments reached remote Mago village under the home constituency of Chief Minister Pema Khandu to conduct the first 'Sarkar Apke Dwar' camp for Tawang district.

The team reached Mago village on September 6 after crossing Omthang La, Gonkar la and other peaks of above 16,000 ft, halted for the night and conducted camp on Saturday. Tashi inaugurated the camp at Government Primary School Mago where residents of two hamlets of Mago Village namely Nguri and Duri and a few villagers from Thingbu village availed the services provided in the camp by various government departments, an official communiqué informed.

Interacting with the villagers Tashi said “SAKD camp is an initiative of Pema Khandu government to bring about immediate solution of problems being faced by villagers at their door step.”

“The first such camp for 2019-20 for Tawang has been initiated from Mago village on instructions from the chief Minister,” he said and added that Khandu has special feeling for all the villagers who are staying in such remote areas, but due to other pre-occupation he could not attend the camp.

“The government agencies and departments are working for our benefit and we must cooperate them in all possible way. The villagers should be flexible when it comes to matter of land requirements for national security and other developmental purpose,” he added.

355 beneficiaries were registered for various benefits from the camp, the communiqué added.
