Itanagar: The All Arunachal Pradesh Public Bus Welfare Association (AAPPBWA) on Friday urged the Capital Complex administration to immediately shift the erected steel tubular truss and CGI sheet structures being used by vendors from the public bus stand near Ganga Market here causing inconvenience for parking buses.

In a letter to Capital DC, the association pointed out that since 1978 the area near Shiv mandir at Ganga Market was being used as public bus stand. However, after discussion with former DC Prince Dhawan, the association accepted to allow roadside vendors to open their shop in the area on temporary basis for six months, keeping in view construction works of the four-lane highway.

Association’s president Tame Lamrah, finance secretary Rare Tacha and general secretary Kipa Kanam in the letter stated that despite repeated representation to the Capital DC to evict the vendors, no actions have been initiated by the administration violating the agreement arrived upon between the AAMTF and the vendors to shift the makeshift within March 30 last year.

The AAPPBWA urged upon the DC to the erected steel tubular truss and CGI sheets structure from the public bus stand and shift the vendors to some other places.
