Yuva Utsav Organized in Arunachal District

Tuting-Yingkiong MLA Alo Libang has said that youths are the future of our country and it is their responsibility to transform the country to a developed nation.

Itanagar: Tuting-Yingkiong MLA Alo Libang has said that youths are the future of our country and it is their responsibility to transform the country to a developed nation.

Speaking during the district level Yuva Utsav organised by the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) at Yingkiong government higher secondary school, Libang encouraged them to participate in such events. He also urged the youths to take benefit of the platform provided by the NYKS to showcase their talent. Upper Siang Superintendent of Police Token Saring advised the youths to stay away from drugs. Yingkiong government higher secondary school principal Lutni Perme thanked Nehru Yuva Kendra for organizing the Utsav and giving an opportunity to the youths to showcase their talent and skills.

NYK Upper Siang district youth officer Pawan Kumar Rav said that there are seven main components of the Utsav namely youth writers contest- poetry, young artist contest-painting, mobile photography, declamation contest, science mela (individual and group) and cultural/traditional dance. In the competitions, Aike Ome and group won the cultural dance competition while Umda Litin and team won the science mela (group event). Rubinam Pangkam won the declamation contest while James Litin won the science mela (individual event). Dedi Nyine Nopi won the poetry competition while Oni Payang won the mobile photography contest. George Miyu won the painting competition. The winners of the event will represent the district in the state level Yuva Utsav in Itanagar from December 18 to 19 next, he said. The winners of the state level event will represent Arunachal Pradesh in the national youth festival to be held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi from January 11 to 12 next.
