NAGAON: A 72-year-old man named Prakash Phukan went missing from his rented house in Christianpatty, Nagaon, on Wednesday morning, causing a stir in the area. According to reports, Phukan had left his rented house at around 7 AM on Wednesday to go for a morning walk and has been missing since then.
Family members said that Phukan was spotted on CCTV footage getting into an e-rickshaw near the Kalang Kapili Senior Secondary School, which is located near his rented house. The footage shows Phukan sitting in the e-rickshaw.
According to family sources, Phukan had previously worked in a tea garden and his actual home is in Bonamata, under the Titabor police station in Jorhat district. However, he was currently living in a rented house in Nagaon town with his daughter, Parismita Phukan, who is an associate professor at Nowgong College. Despite searching extensively, family members were unable to locate Phukan. His daughter, Parismita Phukan, filed a complaint with the Nagaon Sadar police station.
