JAMUGURIHAT: Spokesperson of AGP (Assam Gana Parishad), Partha Pratim Bora, on Wednesday stated that his deceased father Prasanna Bora was the former secretary, president and advisor of undivided Darrang district AASU. He had termed his father as an Assamese nationalist through his Facebook post.
Reacting to the remark made by Partha Pratim Bora, All Jamuguri AASU had issued a press release terming his remark as unfortunate. Partha Pratim Bora does not know the glorious history of the student body, the press release stated. The press release further clarified that Prasanna Bora was by no means associated with AASU nor did he hold any portfolio. On the other hand, the Sanmilita Yuva Mancha and Assam Andolan Satirtha Mancha also condemned Bora’s remarks on AASU.
