Assam Assembly's Public Accounts Committee Reviews Development Schemes in Tinsukia District

The Public Accounts Committee of the Assam Assembly came on a two day visit to Tinsukia district and inspected the work of several schemes implemented in the last three years.

DOOMDOOMA: The Public Accounts Committee of the Assam Assembly came on a two day visit to Tinsukia district and inspected the work of several schemes implemented in the last three years after reaching here on Friday. After the inspection, the members of the committee also participated in a review meeting held at the conference hall of the District Commissioner’s office on Saturday evening. District Commissioner Swapneel Paul tried to clarify all the doubts of the committee. The meeting was also attended by district officers of Public Health Engineering, Health, Agriculture, Forests, Energy, Social Welfare, Excise, Mines and Minerals, Irrigation, Water Resources, Food and Civil Supplies, Land Conservation, Public Works Department, Housing and Panchayat and Rural Development departments.

The team arrived in Tinsukia from Sivasagar Sunday early morning and first inspected the warehouses and accounts of the Guijan Co-operative Society. Then a meeting was held with all the departmental officers at the conference hall of the DC office. The team then left for Sadiya.

Earlier, the team visited Margherita Co-District on Saturday and returned to Tinsukia in the evening. After spending the night in Tinsukia, the PAC team left for Dibrugarh on Sunday morning,  District Information and Public Relations Officer (DIPRO) Bikash Sarrma stated in a press release.

     The delegation included Nurul Huda (Chairman),  Ramendra Narayan Kalita, Debabrata Saikia, Utpal Bora, Bhabendra Nath Bharali, Chakradhar Gogoi, Hafiz Bashir Ahmed and Karim Uddin Barbhuiyan.
