DIBRUGARH: The Guwahati Regional office of the Central Bureau of Communication, under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting successfully organized an awareness programme with tagline ‘Vikshit Bharat @ 2047’ at Charing-Duwarapaar Village under Gaurisagar Tehsil in Sivasagar district today. This initiative was conducted in collaboration with Kavyam Yogasan Prasikshin Kendra and Sivasagar Yoga Krirha Sanstha.
The event, held in the village open field, featured distinguished speakers, including Jorhat district social worker Jagannath Agni Borah, who elaborated on the themes ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat,’ ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat’ (Drug-Free India) campaign, ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ (Clean India Mission), and Jal Jeevan Mission, while Pranab Kumar Nath, Assistant Director from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, discussed the aims and objectives, as well as the significance and vision of ‘Vikshit Bharat @ 2047.’
The programme commenced with lighting of ceremonial lamp followed by Borgeet and a melodious group patriotic song performed by the yoga students. The cultural items held in the event were Bihu dance, modern dance, recitation, pepa playing, group and solo yoga presentation, and open quiz competition among the audience.
The programme was also attended by Mina Duwara, retired head teacher, social worker Aruna Gohain Saikia, yoga teachers Deepak Gogoi and Manas Pratim Duwara, local journalists Padmalochon Khanikar, Diganta Sharma, Anu Hazarika, social worker of Jorhat district Rupak Ranjan Dutta, and others.
