Assam Bhawan, Chandigarh ABSU issue helpline numbers for stranded students issued

Amid India-Pak conflict, Assam Bhawan, ABSU urge stranded Assamese, Bodo students to stay in touch for help and support outside the state.

KOKRAJHAR: In the same way that the Assam Bhawan in New Delhi has advised Assamese students who are studying outside the state in other parts of India and are stranded because of the ongoing conflict between India and Pakistan to get in touch with the Assam Bhawan in New Delhi, the Chandigarh unit committee, ABSU has also advised Bodo students to stay in touch with the ABSU unit in case they need any assistance. 

Chandigarh unit ABSU in a statement said in the ongoing war situation, students or any Bodo and other native people whoever is stuck in Chandigarh and Punjab and are unable to go home would be given a facility from the central committee, ABSU. The union also said the students or visitors who got stuck would be given safe stay in New Delhi until safe reaching of their homes. The ABSU has asked the helpless students or visitors stuck in the two states to keep contact at 8134855229.

On the other hand, Assam Bhawan in New Delhi has also asked the people who are stuck to keep contact with Ranadip Kumar Dam, Joint Secretary, GAD & OSD, Assam Bhawan, New Delhi at 9874355305 or Vinod Kalita, House Manager, Assam Bhawan, New Delhi at 8920570507.
