Assam: BJP West Karbi Anglong Executive Committee meet held at Ghilani

DONGKAMUKAM: A meeting of the BJP West Karbi Anglong District Executive Committee was held on Tuesday at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan at Ghilani, West Karbi Anglong, under the presidency of Radip Ronghang, president of the BJP, WKADC. The meeting was attended by Ravindra Raju, Organization general secretary, BJP, Assam Pradesh, as chief guest.

Raju, in his speech, mainly signalled to get ready for the upcoming Legislative Assembly election slated to be held in 2026. “Strategic planning is necessary for every dedicated party worker,” he said.

“The developmental works done by the government should be known by every grassroots individual, and we should publicize our developmental work. “One of the top examples is the launch of the Orunodoi 3.0,” he added. He further said that under PM Modi’s leadership, the country was moving forward and became the world’s 4th largest economy. Raju criticized the Opposition as the ‘divider party’ of the nation and said that it was still continuing to divide the country in the eastern area. MP Amarsing Tisso and MLA Rupsing Teron also briefed the meeting, which was attended by Deputy Speaker, KAAC Abhijit Kro; EMs of KAAC Prabhat Ch Taro, Mongolsing Timung, and Rina Terangpi; MAC Pawan Kr Ray; Headsing Rongphar; former MP Horen Sing Bey; various board chairmen of KAAC; and all executive committee members.

They also had a plantation drive in the office premises at Ghilani and planned to continue the drive for another two months. It was also decided that programmes of Yoga, Balidan Diwas, etc. will be held in the month of June.
