DHEKIAJULI: Under the initiative of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Gupteswar Mandal Samity convened a significant discussion meeting today at the Balijan Bathou Temple premises. The gathering witnessed the participation of hundreds of BJP leaders, supporters, and workers, underscoring the party’s commitment to grassroots engagement.
Hemanta Deka, President of the Gupteswar Mandal Samity, presided over the meeting. Leaders and workers deliberated on pressing issues affecting the community, reflecting the party’s dedication to addressing local concerns.
In a strategic move to strengthen the party’s connection with the electorate, Deka urged BJP workers and supporters to embark on a door-to-door campaign within the Dhalaguri Gaon Panchayat area. This initiative aims to document public grievances and work towards their resolution, reinforcing the party’s commitment to responsive governance.
This approach aligns with the BJP’s broader strategy observed in other areas of Dhekiajuli Co-District. For instance, ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP in Assam’s Sonitpur constituency replaced large rallies with door-to-door campaigns to connect with voters at the grassroots level. Cabinet Minister Ashok Singhal led this initiative, emphasizing personalized voter engagement.
Similarly, during the Assam assembly elections, the BJP launched the ‘Pariyal Sampark Abhiyan’, a door-to-door campaign aimed at informing citizens about the government’s achievements and seeking their feedback. The Gupteswar Mandal Samity’s initiative reflects the BJP’s consistent efforts to engage directly with citizens, understand their issues, and work collaboratively towards solutions, thereby strengthening the democratic fabric at the grassroots level.
