Assam Branch Indian Tea Association seeks security for Khoomtaie Tea Estate employees

Dibrugarh: In the wake of the recent instance of firing at the Hajua division of Khoomtaie Tea Estate under Moran Police Station, Assam Branch Indian Tea Association (ABITA) has appealed for stepping up security for ensuring safety of the executives employed with the garden. The body wrote to the Deputy Inspector General of Police (Eastern Range), Jorhat, asking for minimum two armed PSOs to stave off such incidents in the future. A request has also been made to the police authorities for a police team to be deployed in the division.
