KOKRAJHAR: In an effort to enhance skill development and employment opportunities in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), the Chief Executive Member (CEM) of BTR Pramod Boro today met Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Jayant Singh at New Delhi on Friday.
In the meeting, CEM Boro informed about all the ongoing activities of the BTR government to enhance the skill of local youths by equipping them with adequate skills for better employment opportunities and entrepreneurship. He gave the Union Minister an update on the initiatives undertaken by the state government to develop an efficient skill development infrastructure in the region.
"I was able to discuss our government's initiatives aimed at equipping the youth with skills that will enhance their job prospects and encourage entrepreneurship in BTR. I am happy that Minister Jayant Singh has shown keen interest in supporting our mission to build a stronger skill development framework in the region," said CEM Boro.
This move by the Union Minister is considered to be positive as it aims towards fulfilling the skill gap across regions and providing young BTR residents with new opportunities for education and skill-building.
The government’s efforts are expected to focus on initiatives, such as vocational training, entrepreneurship, and improving the overall skill set of the entire youth force to fit present market needs.
