Assam Cabinet Minister Pijush Hazarika chairs DLMC meeting in Udalguri

Minister Pijush Hazarika chaired a DLMC meeting in Udalguri to ensure effective implementation of Assam's Orunodoi 3.0 scheme.

TANGLA: In a bid to ensure the successful implementation of the State Government's flagship welfare scheme Orunodoi 3.0, Assam Cabinet Minister and Guardian Minister of Udalguri district, Pijush Hazarika, chaired a crucial District Level Monitoring Committee (DLMC) meeting at the District Commissioner's office in Udalguri on Tuesday. The meeting was convened to review the progress and streamline the implementation of Orunodoi 3.0 in the district.

Minister Hazarika emphasized the need for transparency and strict vigilance in the selection process of beneficiaries to ensure that no eligible household is left out of the benefits envisioned under the scheme, which aims at women empowerment, poverty eradication, and financial inclusion. "Orunodoi 3.0 is a transformative initiative of the State Government. It is imperative that every eligible beneficiary receives support under the scheme without any exclusion. I appeal to all officials and stakeholders to exercise utmost diligence in the beneficiary selection process," Hazarika stated.

On the occasion, Minister Hazarika also felicitated six artistes from Udalguri who have been awarded the Artiste Pension and Annual Artiste Honorarium. Furthering the government's mission to strengthen youth engagement and community development, Hazarika distributed financial assistance cheques to representatives of four registered youth clubs, one from each of the four assembly constituencies in the district, under the Sports and Youth Welfare Department's grant initiative.

The high-level meeting was attended by Assam Legislative Assembly Speaker and Paneri MLA Biswajit Daimary, Darrang-Udalguri Lok Sabha MP Dilip Saikia, Udalguri MLA Gobinda Chandra Basumatary, Kalaigaon MLA Durga Das Boro, and Mazbat MLA Charan Boro, along with BTR Executive Members Diganta Barua, Nilut Swargiary, and Daobaisa Boro, and Udalguri DC Pulak Patgiri, among other senior officials.
