KOKRAJHAR: Chief Executive Member (CEM) of BTC Pramod Boro on Tuesday congratulated Prof Anil Boro, Head of the Folklore Research of the Gauhati University, for being conferred Padma Shri award by the President of India Draupadi Murmu in New Delhi on Monday.
Boro in his official site wrote, “Heartiest congratulations to Prof Anil Kumar Boro on being conferred the Padma Shri award in literature and education by the President of India Smt Droupadi Murmu.” He said that a renowned poet, academician, and literary critic, Prof Boro’s invaluable contributions to the Bodo literature, folklore, and culture continue to inspire. As Head of the Folklore Research at Gauhati University, he had tremendous contributions in shaping future generations, he added. He also said that it was a proud moment for the people of BTR that a deserving writer, critic Anil Boro has achieved this award.
