BONGAIGAON: Giving a massive push for the upcoming BTR election, Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated the newly-constructed BJP party office at Kajalgaon, Chirang. Moreover, giving a direct statement that BJP would participate in the BTR election with the intent of winning, Dr Sarma emphasized BJP’s motto for this election, i.e. direct fight for power.
Addressing the media regarding AAMSU’s agitation against BJP government over the eviction drive going on in different parts of Assam, Dr Sarma said that that is a good sign. “We ought to work for soil and nation, and if AAMSU is agitating against us, it proves clearly that we are on the right direction,” he stated.
Also reacting to AAMSU’s threat that it may undergo violent agitation in the coming days, Dr Sarma said that subsequent retaliation was obvious. “AAMSU is agitating now in a democratic way, and we are also following the civil way. If they adopt the undemocratic and violent way, the retaliation will be similar,” Dr Sarma stated.
Dr Sarma also took part in a mass meeting on Wednesday at Bijni, Chirang to boost the party for the upcoming election.
