GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has intervened to resolve the ambiguity surrounding the release date of the HSLC (Class 10) Results 2025.
Responding to mounting speculation, the Chief Minister clarified that the results will not be declared on April 10, as widely reported online.
The false information, which created a tide of panic among parents and students, was formally debunked in a public declaration by the Chief Minister on social media.
Posting on platform X (previously Twitter), CM Sarma stated, "I would like to inform all parents and students that the HSLC examination results will not be released tomorrow. Once the results are ready, the board will announce them promptly. Please remain patient."
His post helped to assuage the anxiety of many who were deceived by a false viral post announcing the results would be declared at 10 AM on April 10.
This official statement affirmed that the viral tweet—that resembled a government release—was indeed fictitious. It wrongly instructed students to visit the SEBA website at a given time, resulting in additional confusion.
The misleading message was discovered to be computer manipulated and did not have any genuineness. To date, the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) has issued no official notification for the actual date or time of result announcement.
Students who had appeared for the HSLC 2025 exams are requested to remain calm and wait for authentic updates from SEBA. After declaration, the results will be published on the official SEBA website: site.sebaonline.org.
To view their results, students will require their roll number, registration number, and the exam session.
The following are the steps to view the Assam HSLC Result 2025 online:
