GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma attended the passing-out parade of 70 deputy superintendents of police (62 from Assam Police and 8 from Mizoram Police). On this occasion, CM Sarma extended his best wishes to the officers and commended those who received medals and trophies for their achievements.
He further expressed his delight over the role of the state police in driving Assam's development. The Assam CM also urged the officers to remain sensitive to the needs of the public and involve them as partners in the collective fight against crime.
"Today at the Dikshant Parade of 70 DSP probationers in NEPA, I reiterated their important role in ensuring that the atmosphere of peace prevalent in the region continues in the coming days. With 62 of these officers from @assampolice, including 19 women officers, our security scenario at the district and co-district level will get a major boost, and they should carry out our people-friendly policing measures ahead. Best wishes to all the officers on passing out from this rigorous training course," CM Sarma wrote in a post on X.
Earlier, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma ceremoniously inaugurated the fifth edition of the India-Japan Intellectual Conclave titled Kizuna: Co-creating Ecosystems for Change: Technology, Education, and Logistics here in Guwahati.
