As part of the programme, Jacob MO, President of CSC Society, Assam, hoisted the flag followed by a ceremonial plantation of trees. He said that the VLEs in Assam had been playing a crucial role in delivering digital services to rural communities through the Common Service Centres (CSCs). They provide essential government and financial services, including e-Stamp, e-District, Aadhaar updation, PAN card, banking, insurance, digital literacy programs and more, he added. The VLEs also support farmers with agricultural schemes, assist students with online education services, and promote e-commerce by helping local artisans and small businesses sell their products online, he said, adding that their efforts contribute significantly to bridging the digital divide and enhancing socio-economic development in Assam. All the VLEs are members of CSC Society, Assam and about 18,000 VLEs are all over Assam delivering services to the citizens, he added. He also said, “At CSC Society, Assam, we are committed to embracing the power of technology, empowering our teams, and delivering solutions that create lasting impact.
