Assam: Dr. Mineswar Hazarika to Receive Bharat Gourav Puraskar for Philanthropic Services

Dr. Mineswar Hazarika Head of College of Veterinary Science, AAU, to receive Bharat Gourav Puraskar for contributions to veterinary science and charity.

NAGAON: Bharat Gourav Puraskar will be conferred to Dr Mineswar Hazarika, a retired Professor & Head of College of Veterinary Science, AAU, Khanapara and Managing Trustee of Lokatirtha Charitable Trust located at Khanapara by Bharat Vikas Sangam - a national platform working for growth and development of India. The award will be offered for social and philanthropic services offered through a charitable trust namely “Lokatirtha Charitable Trust”.

 It may be mentioned that Lolatirtha Charitable Trust has been offering differing benevolent services to cancer patients, sick persons coming from rural areas to Guwahati for treatment, economically backward students and parents coming for admission in higher institutions in Guwahati. Apart from these, regular training programmes on food processing, animal husbandry,  yoga & meditation, Reiki, personality development etc. are also conducted here. The award will be presented on  February 5, 2025 at the 7th Bharatiya Sanskriti Utsav to be held at Sedam, Gulberga, Karnataka. Dr Hazarika is also associated with different socio-cultural organisations of Khanapara, a press note added.
