Assam: Educational awareness meet held at Doomdooma Girls’ HS School

An educational awareness meeting was held at Doomdooma Girls’ Higher Secondary School on Saturday ahead of the 2025-26 academic year beginning on April 1.

DOOMDOOMA: An educational awareness meeting was held at Doomdooma Girls’ Higher Secondary School on Saturday ahead of the 2025-26 academic year beginning on April 1.  The meeting was presided over by the President of the School Management and Development Committee (SMDC) Abhijit Khataniar and was attended by the students, teachers, parents and members of the SMDC.

The objectives of the meeting was explained by the Principal of the school Sangeeta Borkakoti. She presented the details of various academic and non-academic programmes undertaken for the coming academic year and sought the cooperation of all in this regard.

 President Abhijit Khataniar told the students and parents about the changes in the academic aspects as a result of the implementation of the new education policy, 2020.a

The meeting was also addressed by Binod Tanti , a guardian and Pooja Borgohain, a teacher of the school. The distribution of free textbooks and uniforms among the students was formally inaugurated in the meeting by distributing the textbooks and uniforms to a few students.
