ORANG: The final electoral roll for the 2025 Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) elections in Udalguri district was officially published on Wednesday, marking the end of the revision process that began with the draft roll on July 22. According to district election officials, Udalguri now has 7,43,662 registered voters, comprising 3,67,856 males and 3,75,800 females across its ten BTC constituencies.

In the final tally, Mazbat constituency accounts for 78,245 voters, Harisinga 74,863, Khaling Duar 72,118, Udalguri 75,504, Bhergaon 73,229, Rowta 71,986, Paneri 74,552, Kalaigaon 73,110, and Tangla 75,360. The figures reflect additions, deletions, and corrections submitted by citizens during the claims and objections period, which closed on August 5.

The voter list revision saw active public participation, with applications for inclusion, deletion, and correction processed through a network of booth-level officers. The final roll was displayed at designated public centres and the offices of Electoral Registration Officers for scrutiny.

With the updated rolls now in place, political parties are expected to step up campaigning across Udalguri’s constituencies, setting the stage for a high-stakes BTC poll. Officials have assured that the revised list will underpin a transparent and inclusive electoral process.
