DOOMDOOMA: The first important review meeting of Sadiya Co-District Development Council was held today at the conference hall of Co-District Commissioner’s office under the presidentship of Co-District Commissioner Manas Jyoti Nath.
The meeting, which was attended by all the heads of the departments, reviewed the development schemes implemented by various development departments of the Co-District. Co-District Commissioner Nath directed the officers to implement the ongoing schemes as soon as possible. The meeting was attended by Agriculture Department, Irrigation, Zonal Development Officer’s Office (Panchayat and Rural Development), Industry and Commerce Department, Jal Jeevan Mission, Sarva Shiksha, Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL), Health and Medical Department, Silk, Handloom and Textiles, Integrated Child Development, Excise, Public Works ( Roads and Housing) departments.
Sadiya Assembly Constituency MLA and Chairman, Assam Gas Company Limited Balin Chetia, who also attended the meeting as chief guest, urged the officers to work sincerely for the development of Sadiya. He advised the officers to inform the Co-District Commissioner immediately if any difficulties were encountered by them in the implementation of development schemes. The meeting also reviewed the Mission Basundhara scheme. A total of 56,750 ration cards were distributed through the Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs department and by this, 1,90,422 beneficiaries were benefitted, Superintendent of Supply Department Shubha Ram Lahon informed the meeting. The meeting was attended by Chairperson, Sadiya Municipal Board Bichandrabati Sonowal, Vice- Chairman Bipin Gogoi, Assistant Commissioners Porcia Khanikar, Prithviraj Saikia, Circle Officer, Sadiya Revenue Circle Joy Deep Rajak and Navajyoti Sahariya respectively, stated a press release issued by Sadiya SDPRO.
