Assam: Four Cows Stolen in Jamugurihat, Residents Alarmed by Rising Theft

Sensation continued to prevail in and around the greater Jamugurihat area as the news of the theft of four cattle heads reached the local residents.

JAMUGURIHAT: Sensation continued to prevail in and around the greater Jamugurihat area as the news of the theft of four cattle heads reached the local residents on Tuesday morning. According to available information, two cattle heads of one Ratul Saikia, a resident of Godhmora Chuk under Jamuguri PS and two cattle heads of Jantumani Bora of the same village were stolen from the cowshed on Monday night. The owner of the cattle heads came to know about the incident in the morning. Later on, the victim’s family members lodged an FIR at Jamuguri PS.

It is to be mentioned here that cattle head smuggling, cow theft, etc. are on the rise in and around the greater Naduar area. The local residents have made several complaints to police administration in this regard.
